Your CMA Story

How did you discover CMA Philippines?
“I discovered CMA Philippines through my mentor while I was seeking a globally recognized credential that bridged the gap between traditional accounting and forward-looking strategic management. I wanted a program that went beyond backward-looking financial compliance and focused heavily on driving business value.”

In what ways has being part of CMA helped your career grow?
“Earning the CMA designation fundamentally elevated my strategic perspective. It shifted my framework from a traditional accountant to a strategic business partner. It provided me with a rigorous methodology to evaluate risk and manage performance that supports aggressive corporate growth and digital transformation, not only for the firm but for the needs of our clients as well.”

How does CMA help you in your current profession?
“To be practical, as the Partner for Operations and one of the core leaders in the Transformative Systems Leadership group, the CMA framework gives me the financial architecture to back up our firm’s strategy. In short, it gives me the data to make objective, firm-wide decisions. It helps ensure that when we roll out a new system or push for a goal, the numbers actually work, the systems run autonomously, and the firm scales sustainably.”

What advice would you give to someone considering joining CMA?
“Do not look at it as just another acronym to add to your resume. Approach the program as a comprehensive upgrade to your operational and strategic mindset. The business world desperately needs financial professionals who can look forward, analyze data critically, and lead organizational change.”
